Welcome to Big Book Study Guide

BBSG.org is a website dedicated to Big Book Study Guides and Big Book Study Groups that are they themselves dedicated to the learning and teaching of the process of improving their lives and that of those around them, recovering from a hopeless state of mind and body, and have a daily repreave from drinking alcohol, through the 12 step process outlined within the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous

In fact, the 12 step process outlined within the first 164 pages, including the roman numerals that conatain the doctors opinion, have helped Alcoholics worldwide numbering into the millions, to become recovered from alcoholism and live useful, happy lives. In the light of their past lives, these folks where spared the literal living hell on earth they’ve experienced, they have a new found freedom and an overwhelming gratitude for living and working the program with yet others.

Gratitude Manifests Itself in Action

BBSG.org is my gratitude for both the Big Book and the Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous, and the overwhelming pain I feel inside for the newcomer who isn’t given the solution contained within the Big Book. If a new comer comes into the rooms of AA, and no AA member takes them aside and explains their situation without watering it down, within mentioning God, without shopwing them that there is a solution if they are willing, honest and open minded enough to proceed. Have they had enough pain yet?

There is a Solution

We will be reviewing and using in real time, actual Big Book Study Guides within in ‘Real’ Big Book Study groups that we hold every week. I will comment on the processes and occurances that come up during these processes to help others in their venture in going through the work. If you’re serious about recovery and being sober, and you are a “Real Alcoholic” as it describes in the Big Book, and like I know that I am, then Big Book study and Big Biik action is the only choice for you, it’s either a spiritual life or a spiritual death for many of us.

Big Book Study Meetings

Big Book Study Meetings are a vital part of AA as a whole. Seriously looking into the dropout rate of AA members, it’s easy to see that most new AA members are either a) not getting what they need ( solution to their problem) in contemporary “middle of the road” AA Meetings, or b) are not “Real” Alcoholics and just were hard drinkers, and have the ability to stop drinking on their own. So they decided to leave AA. Unfortunetly, many people that have come to the belief that they were only hard drinkers and not alcoholics, after 3-7 more years of living hell trying to control their drinking, found out they were alcoholic, and came back to AA, but sadly, don’t get into the big book work in time to correct their problems.
