By reading the first 164 pages of the Big Book, including the roman numerals that include the ‘Doctors Opinion’, you are starting to embark upon a journey that will be assured the best and most excellent journey or your life as an alcoholic.

At the end of reading this, you will need to be taken through the process, the procedure, the ‘work’, of deciding, cleaning, repairing and refining. being lead through this needs to be done by an experienced individual who has been shown the way by likewise others.

But be careful, you will never be done, its about adopting new behaviors and attitudes, a new way of living, helping others, altruistically, is our way.

Someone to have considered themselves done with the work, simply still doesn’t get it. The old solution for us was to drink, the new solution is to not. The old solution for us was to be selfish, the new solution is to be selfless. The old solution for us was to be self-centered, the new solution for us is to be God-Centered. The old solution for us was to be delusional, the new solution for us is to turn our thinking and our will over to the care and understabnding of God and to remain open to His will for us.

This is a bold new reality for us alcoholics who have constantly made a mess of our lives repeatedly over time, casting dark shadows on ourselves and of all of those we loved or even simply came into contact with.
